Ash School ‘Big Schools’ Birdwatch 2012

30 Ash school pupils took part in this year’s Big Schools’ Birdwatch with the assistance of two volunteers from the RSPB. Unfortunately the hour chosen 11.00 -12.00 on Friday morning the 20th January turned out to be rather windy which meant not many birds were active. However 41 birds from 10 different species were identified in the hour.

Scintillating Science

As part of our new Comenius Project, ‘Scintillating Science’, we have planned lots of science activities. The first major topic is Materials; all classes will be doing lots of practical science ending with a science workshop in the last week of November and a fashion show using recycled materials.
