  • Anti-Bullying Week

    Mon 13 Nov 2023 R Bennett

We talked in our assembly today about how we can talk about Bullying (in person and online)

We used the Highway Rat as a starting point for talking about bullying. We thought about how we knew the rat was a bully, and how the other animals felt in the story.

Tomorrow we will be giving every child the opportunity to share any worries they may have.

For more advice on how to talk to your child about bullying online please visit https://www.nspcc.org.uk/what-is-child-abuse/ty

Congratulations to our new Young Worship Leaders!

  • Worship Leaders

    Wed 01 Nov 2023 R Bennett

Would your child like to be a worship leader in school?

This is an opportunity to lead and plan worship activities in school, both in our assemblies and more broadly.

Pupils are invited to apply in writing to the Headteacher by Monday the 6th of November.

In a Christian sense it is equally important to see children as
having a role to play in leading the faith community; Jesus
welcomed children and used them as models of faith for his
    followers

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17

  • Can you help complete...

    Sun 01 Oct 2023

the Reading Board. All we require are fantastic photographs of your child reading their favourite book. This could be sat on the sofa, lying on the floor, out in the garden or hanging from a tree. Any location welcome, the quirkier the better. Please send via email or text FAO Mrs Gibbons to the school office. Thank you and can't wait to see your pictures.

  • Pupil Leadership Team

    Sun 24 Sep 2023 M.Gibbons

Please talk to your child about the Pupil Leadership Team 2023 - 2024. We announced in assembly on Friday that there would be two positions per year group, upon the school leadership team. We have asked for letters of application to be completed by Thursday 28th September and handed to the school office or class teacher, accordingly. Mrs Bennett will read all letters and announce the successful candidates next week in assembly.

The Leadership Team will be responsible for driving the school forward with new initiatives and listening to pupil voice; sharing thoughts and ideas at whole school leadership team meetings. This is an exciting venture and we can't wait for your applications.

  • Reading Board

    Sun 24 Sep 2023 M.Gibbons

Please can you help! Ash Reading Board needs you!

The children have been encouraged to take photographs of themselves reading, in order to promote the importance of sharing books and their love for reading. It would be fantastic to see as many photos as possible sent into the school office. One per child at least would be greatly appreciated. The more unusual the location of reading, the better.
