Our Christian Vision and Values

‘As many hands build a house, so many hearts create our school’

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

John 4:7

Our Vision

To enable every child to achieve.

Our school and Nursery are committed to nurturing and developing enquiring minds through a curriculum that enables every child to achieve and progress.

We want every pupil to leave us with a sense of themselves as lifelong learners, well prepared for the next stage of their education with a collaborative, kind and welcoming attitude to others.

We strive to grow creativity in all its forms, so every child can be proud of their contribution to the arts.

We are all members of the team and we know we succeed when we work together in sport and in the great outdoors, building healthy bodies and healthy minds.

Our School Rules

Be Safe

Be Kind

Be Respectful

We expect all our pupils to learn and play together safely, develop positive relationships, and respect others.

Our Values

Empathy

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

We try to understand how other people feel, and other perspectives. We are kind.

Our Pupils say

'We are understanding of others, we listen to each other in our school'

Creativity

O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures. Psalm 104:24

We use our imaginations to solve problems and create beautiful work

Our Pupils say

'We are free to try out our ideas, we get to try different things in art'

Curiosity

And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen extraordinary things today. Luke 5:26

We wonder about the world and we ask big questions in our learning

Our Pupils say

'We want to know more about things like history, and we ask more questions in guided reading'

Commitment

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

We never give up on ourselves and each other, we work together for success

Our pupils say

'We keep practising, we don't give up in our learning'

Gratitude

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

We are thankful for those around us, and our amazing world

Our pupils say

'We are so grateful for our amazing grounds! Our school is in a beautiful place'

Peace

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

We appreciate stillness in our day, the time and space to reflect

Our pupils say

'We get quiet time in school if we need it, in the quiet room, or when we are reading. Classrooms are quiet so we get to learn'
