School Session Times

Our School, day starts at 08.50 am (Registers are taken at 08:55 and will be kept open until 09:10)

Gates are open to families from 08.40 am.

Children can enter their cloakrooms at 08:50 am. 

Foundation/Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1,Year 2) children have the following break times:  
Morning 10.30am - 10.45am 

Lunchtime 11:50 noon - 12.50pm

Key Stage 2 (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6) children have the following break time:

Morning 10.30am - 10.45am

Lunchtime 12.15 noon - 1.15pm

This equates to 32.5 hours per week.

End of the school day

School ends at 3.25 pm for all children.

Hours spent on teaching during the week.

The school has a Curriculum Framework.  This document sets out our long term planning including teaching time allocations for all areas of the curriculum.

Total teaching time per week, excluding collective worship and breaks, is 21 hours 55 minutes for KS1/F and 23 hours 30 minutes for KS2.

(DCFS Recommended minimum - KS1 - 21 hours, KS2 - 23.5 hours) 

If your child is absent from school, please call the school office on 01935 822674 to report their absence by 9.30 am. If we do not hear from you by then, we will contact other adults whose contact details we hold for your child.

Should we be unsuccessful in contacting someone to establish the whereabouts of your child, we will consider this to be a welfare concern and contact additional agencies as appropriate.

Please ensure we hold at least three contacts for your child.

Term-time leave request forms are available from the school office.

Please be aware that these are only approved in exceptional circumstances.

Holidays in term-time will not be authorised.
